ZALOA Languages is a platform for language learning with a purpose. We build communities of language learners and connect those community members to organizations and companies in their target country.
Our focus is on our German learning community Deutsch mit ZALOA with over 50’000 German learners from all over Latin America who aim to improve their job opportunities by learning German.

Your Responsabilities
As a fractional CTO, you will create, lead and deliver technology strategies and solutions that accelerate the business growth of our business unit Deutsch mit ZALOA.
Your responsibilities:
- Evaluate the current technology environment and propose the areas that can be improved or transformed.
- Be the lead of a new technology development that matches our B2C customers with our B2B clients.
- Implement new solutions, frameworks, or environments for better productivity, and increased ROI
- Collaborate with all team members from CEO, COO, marketing and finance to decide on solutions
Your Profile
- Bachelor degree in computer science, software engineering, or similar majors
- Minimum 3 years of experience in software development or related areas
- Experience leading or managing technical teams and projects in startups
- Hands-on experience with full-stack web and mobile development
- Experience with software project scoping, cost estimating, product roadmaps, and planning
- Deep knowledge of software architecture design patterns
- Collaborate with all team members from CEO, COO, marketing and finance to decide on solutions
- Experience with dev-ops, cloud infrastructure, and end-to-end product development and deployment
- Fluent in English (German and/or Spanish are a plus, but are not required)
Great to have:
- Software development consulting or freelance experience with startups
- Previous experience as a technical co-founder of a startup
